The words in this print come from one of my favorite Bob Dylan songs.

It seems like the last time our country experienced this level of division and conflict was the 1960s when the anti-war and civil rights movements were at their peak. It was also the front of the Cold War and the Red Scare and people on all sides were fearful and scrambling to secure up their lives and families.

During that time Bob Dylan wrote a song inspired by people building fallout shelters and bunkers in their backyards.

I will not go down under the ground

‘Cause somebody tells me that death’s comin’ round…

Let me die in my footsteps before I go down under the ground.

It’s a good policy I think. Listen to the song here.
